In Oct 2020, Gay Brennan established that the Wyndhams are not ancestors of the Newmans as used to be thought. See note on Dinah Wyndam's page.
Earlier notes from Jerry Gandolfo:
This generation is omitted in the hand-written notes from an unknown source passed down
from Harold Ernest Montague Newman, however Burke's list Hugh Wyndhan, of
Pilsden Court, as the 4th son of Edmond Wyndham, esq. of Kentsford,
and grandson of Sir John Wyndham of Orchard in Somershire.
[Note: As per Tim Sandberg; tsandberg50@hotmail.com; The Sandberg and Floyer
Genealogy Site: Sir John Wyndham and Joan Portman would be substituted for
Edmund Wyndham and Margaret Chamberlyn, however this John Wyndham was the
grandson of the Sir John Wyndham noted here.]
