In Oct 2020, Gay Brennan established that the Wyndhams are not ancestors of the Newmans as used to be thought. See note on Dinah Wyndam's page.
Sir Thomas Wyndham: Vice-Admiral
of England. Attended Henry VIII as one of the knights of his body at the
siege of Therouene and Tournay.
[The Wyndham Website list the marriage to Lady D'Arcey (aunt to Jane Seymour),
as being second marriage of the son, Sir Edmund Wyndham, and thus producing
the son, Thomas Wyndham, however Burke's has Lady D'Arcy as Sir Thomas Wyndham's
second marriage, and Thomas Wyndham, Admiral.]
