Evie and her sister Eileen married two brothers, Bertram and Octavious Nicholson - two of seven brothers all of whom seem to have reached eminent status in engineering, legal, naval and military careers. Bertram was a naval captain who was awarded a CBE and DSO. He was also the first headmaster of the Prince of Wales School in Kenya from 1931 to 1937. See Old Cambrian Society website for details.
