Ann Moody: Michelle Moody kindly sent the following information on 29th Nov 2008:
Thomas Paynter, 1794-1863 was married to Ann Moody. Ann was baptized in September 1795 in Portchester, Hampshire. She was the daughter of Aaron Moody, baptized 4 May 1749, Whiteparish, Wiltshire, died 17 Feb. 1829, Kingsdon, Somerset, and of Catherine ca 1751, died 4 September 1824, Kingsdon, Somerset. Ann's brother Charles Aaron Moody, 1792-1867, was the MP for W. Somerset and Deputy Lieutenant. He married Juliana Bennett of Cadbury House. Her second brother, William, was a barrister in London. Ann's father, Aaron Moody, was also Deputy Lieutenant.
It is interesting to see the link back to Cadbury Court which had once been the home of the Newman family.
