Information about William Coleman comes from John Coleman, a descendant of Thomas's brother Francis. John has his own Coleman website, click here for an automatic guest login.
Thomas marriage to Prudence Vaston followed an elopement the details of which are recorded in a delightful letter written to his father from Edinburgh on 5th June, nine days after their marriage. It appears that her family accepted the status quo by allowing a second marriage to take place in Yarpole, Herefordshire, a couple of months later.
